New G.I.Joe Pic, SNAKE EYES!!!!

Well, the first cool pictures from the set of G.I.Joe has finally been release. I was never really a big fan of "The Joe" growing up, but Snake Eyes was always one of my favorite characters.

Ray Park dons the awsomely tight tights in the live action version of G.I.Joe. You can remember Park in such distinct roles such as Toad from X-Men, and Darth Maul from Episode I.

Park is also slated to play the Immortal Iron Fist later on this year.

Jump on the Band Wagon. Dent coming to your town?

As a part of the huge viral campaign for the upcoming Dark Night, a number of 'Dentmobiles' will be travelling across America in promotion of candidate Harvey Dent (Aaron Eckhart) for the position of District Attorney of Gotham City.

Show your support for this up and coming politician. Click Here to find a stop near you.

And remember, amongst all the crooked, two faced candidates for Gotham City DA, Harvey Dent is the one man you can trust!

Incredibly the Hulk trailer finally hits

After 14 long years of waiting, the trailer for MARVEL's new Incredible Hulk has finally been released. And seeing as it is slated to be released in June, I would say it is about time they did!

And just in case you can't belive your eyes: Yes, this does look fairly shitty.

Now, I will admit, I did like the last Hulk movie. Sorry if I feel that an actual story is needed to make a comic book character credible. So far, The Incredible Hulk looks to be void of that critcal film element.

Deke Appreciation Post

Rabid and non-avid NBA fans alike have, at some defining moment in their lives, witnessed the intimidating finger wag of Dikembe Mutombo which follows most merciless blocks he lays on opponents. Many are shocked and surprised to hear that the 42-year old Zairian center is still doing his thing. Why all this talk of Mt. Mutombo all of a sudden? Well, the Houston Rockets are in the midst of a historical 19-game winning streak which could be pushed to 20 tonight when they play the Atlanta Hawks- and Deke is a big part of their recent success.

So now I will show some love to Deke who has stepped up after Yao Ming went down for the season with a stress fracture in his left foot. Deke's ever dominant defensive presence in the paint has helped carry the Rockets through this streak.

Deke is a great man known for many great things: his scholastic aspirations pre-basketball (a star pupil interested in both medicine and politics), his philanthropic endeavors (built a hospital in Zaire), his diplomatic presence (was invited to George W's State of the Union two years back), but most notably known for his voice and how pretty much everything he says sounds funny. Legendary story: Deke goes out to a Georgetown bar (where he played his college ball), walks in and the place gets kind of quiet because, man, its Dikembe. So to break the silence he says to the room, "who wants to sex Mutombo?" And story goes, throughout the night, many women approached, but Deke had his standards and went on to shoo away many meaty types.

Anyhow, so now, a YouTube clip tribute to the man. 1) an old NBATV clip of Deke showing us that NBA players can do a variety of things regular people do. My favorite part- when he visits his favorite restaurant, "Pasta! Pasta!... it was named after pasta." 2) His Rockets' teammates doing their best impressions and 3) Just for fun, Deke at the State of the Union. Enjoy, and respect the Mt. Mutombo. Let's go, 20 in a row!

Marine Throws Puppy

I just heard about this, and then finally saw it. Pretty awful stuff.

I don't know if this counts as sports.

New Shots of Watchmen characters

I have to admit, these pictures look pretty sweet.

Watchmen is either going to be a masterpiece of superhero cinema or a big overbudget piece of shit.

It's too soon to tell.

Page replacement found, Soon to visit Hell!

EmpireOnline.com has confirmed that Alison Lohman has replaced Ellen Page in Sam Raimi's next film, Drag Me To Hell.

"Page dropped out of the movie, which tells of a young woman who is unwittingly hit with a supernatural curse, citing scheduling differences. With Lohman in the role, the film can now get started shooting on March 31, only two weeks later than originally planned"

Lohman is the cute girl from the Nic Cage movie Matchstick Men, and pretty much nothing else that anyone cares about. Flicka? Did anyone actually watch that?

Holy Marvel! Another Wolverine set picture.

Hugh Jackman is "Stylin and Profilin" in the latest picture from the set of X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
Also, If you check out the IMDB pofile for the movie, Hugh doesn't get top billing. Ryan Reynolds does!! What the hell is going on.

Bands you should know...

Ah yes. Before anyone else complains about too much exposure of new bands, I'm here to tell you about some music you should already be listening to.

Tiny Masters of Today:
http://www.myspace.com/tinymasters

Pretty much the coolest 10 and 12 year old brother sister duo alive today. These Brooklyn rocksters have collaborated with the likes of Karen O, Kimya Dawson, CSS and so many others. They write and sing their own kick ass rock songs and they write about stuff they know, like homework and parents. Preteen angst and lo-fi tunes are definitely on the plate here. check out their myspace, I recommend Trendsetter with Kimya Dawson.

Music video for Radio Riot:

Yo Majesty:
http://www.myspace.com/yomajesty4life

Two big mean lesbians. rapping. the fucking coolest most catchy and perverted rhymes ever uttered by women. With a song called Kryptonite Pussy, how could you not be intrigued. These two girls put on one of the best hip hop shows I've ever seen. Probably because Jwl. B (superman) HAS to take her shirt off by the end of the show. Recommended track is Club Action.

XLRBR interview with Beth Ditto from The Gossip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Os5cYAy5EtI

More music to come, for sure.

New Iron Man Poster!

The awsome new Ironman poster comes directly from San Francisco's Wondercon. Who knows, maybe the movie won't be as shitty as it looks.

Breaking News: Dolph Lundgren still alive!!!

(Above: Dolph portraying Guile in the 2003 basement remake of Street Fighter funded by his mom. He hated Van Damm's portrail of character.)

Despite no rumors about Dolph Lundgren for the last 10 years, news regarding the actor finally comes out today, Proving he's NOT DEAD!

Variety.com breaks the story:

Dolph Lundgren, star of "The Final Inquiry" and "Missionary Man," which he also wrote and directed. Both are out now on DVD.

Rumors are circling that Dolph might commit suicide once he realizes most of his films will not make it to HD-DVD. For more info on the Lundgren Death Watch, stay tuned.

Wolverine Update: WTF?

Variety confirmed rumors that Ryan Reynolds will play "Merc With a Mouth" Deadpool in X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

"Marvel has been eyeing the possibility of casting Reynolds as Deadpool, an assassin with self-healing powers, for some time with the idea of spinning off the character into his own film series should the character prove popular among moviegoers."

Uncle Kody's says: I love the character Deadpool, and I love comic book movies, sans the apocalypse of film, Ghost Rider, but the new Wolverine movie looks like a pile of shit waiting to be flushed.

Justice League Movie Update!!

According to Moviehole.net, the film will now be "about Green Lantern, Green Arrow, and others of the Justice League of America, an organization made up of the world's greatest superheroes must deal with the expulsion of Batman and the death of Superman at the hands of the monstrous Doomsday."

Get Excited (Or Don't)

Todd Barry is one of our fave comedians here at IASIW.  I have personally spun his last two CDs endlessly.  Luckily, he's got a new one hitting the streets March 4th.  Titled From Heaven, it'll hopefully deliver the hipster laughs that I find myself so in need of.

Juno

If I could bottle pretentious writing, I would do so and call it Juno. However, dispite its annoyingly pushy dialogue, Juno is a cute love story.

Superman Dunk

Dwight Howard donned a Superman cape for one of his dunks at the 2008 NBA All-Star Slam Dunk contest held in New Orleans. He literally appeared to fly as he took off of both feet from just inside the free throw line and then proceeded to throw it through- the crowd lost it. Craziness; watch it here.

Uniqlock

Kody says I haven't made a post today... so I will take a break from watching the Uniqlock to post about the Uniqlock. Uniqlock is quite hypnotic. Caution: Uniqlock will rob you of hours of productivity.

Uniqlock.

Firs look at "X-men Origins: Wolverine"

From USA Today: The film will trace Wolverine's past as he discovers the world of mutants and, ultimately, the ominous Weapon X program, which turns people into living weapons.

Jackman is tight-lipped on plot details, though he says the film will hardly be a one-mutant story.

Wolverine's nemesis Sabretooth "is going to play a big part in it. And there will be a good bit of cameos" of new and familiar mutants, he says. "But you can't give too much away, because fans are pretty hard-core. Their expectations go up a level every time you come out with a new film."

Romero's 5th "Of the Dead" Installment.

From CNN.com: Romero, said he made his fifth zombie film in 20 days with a $2 million budget. The result is a raw, ragged tale more reminiscent his landmark first movie, 1968's "Night of the Living Dead," than the explosion- and star-filled 2005 box office flop, "Land of the Dead."

Gone Baby Gone

A pretty good directorial debut from Ben Affleck. "Gone Baby Gone" leaves viewers with only one real question:

"Is everyone in Boston an Assholes?"

Get out your Fuckin Checkbooks!!!

Happy Valentines Day Everybody!!!

Meet the Horizon Entertainment Creative Department

(From Left to Right) Uncle Kody, Janell, and Phatroukh

All we do is eat, sleep, and breath creativity. Okay, maybe not the sleep part. Not much of that happens when you are making great entertainment.

Comic cover of the week!

This is one of the coolest covers I've seen in a long time. A throw-back to the old Tales from the Crypt comics of years ago.

First Post: Bukkake

I've heard things, and I sort of know what that is. And I'm pretty sure I'm scared by it. Anyhow, Japan held its first sex expo (ever?) and it was, predictably, really crazy. Highlights include automatic masturbation machine and a phallic keychain called "young Mr. Penis." All the details here.
